Este vídeo foi feito por mim, Patrícia Carrion, Julia Casotti, Mariana Machado, Michelli Possmozer e Thaiss Pacheco, como trabalho final de Sociologia. O contexto pode ser utilizado para refletir a música produzida nesse período. Citamos, direta ou indiretamente, Janis Joplin, The beatles e os participantes do Woodstock. E esse festival é representativo para tal. "Três dias de paz & música" em '69, numa cidade rural perto de Nova York. Contou com performances de Janis Joplin, The Who, Santana, Jimi Hendrix, entre outros.

Joni Mitchell não performou no evento, mas resumiu de forma emociante a atmosfera do festival na faixa "Woodstock", lançada só em 1970, no álbum "Ladies of the canyon". Enfim:

We were half a million strong
And everywhere there was song and celebration
And I dreamed I saw the bombers
Riding shotgun in the sky
And they were turning into butterflies
